The Neithercoil Idol

Ancient guardians were often depicted not in motion, but in vigil, standing watch over places, ideas, and mysteries long forgotten.

The Neithercoil Idol is a one-of-a-kind resin sculpture featuring a coiled dragon with an aged metallic finish surrounding a luminous aqua core. The metallic surface was painted directly into the mold before casting, creating the appearance of weathered metal as an integral part of the artifact rather than a finish applied afterward.

Viewed from different angles, flashes of aqua emerge through the dragon's winding form, hinting at an unseen energy beneath its ancient exterior. In darkness, the hidden glow transforms the sculpture once again, revealing a second personality concealed within the piece.

Created as a display sculpture, The Neithercoil Idol is intended to evoke the feeling of an artifact recovered from a forgotten shrine or long-abandoned temple, inviting each Custodian to imagine the history it carries.
