The Reedbed & The Channel are companion pieces inspired by the quiet margins of Devils Lake, where dense shoreline reeds give way to deeper water and the unseen forces moving beneath the surface.
Handcrafted in layered resin, this one-of-a-kind set captures the meeting of stillness and motion. The Reedbed tray reflects the intricate textures and organic patterns of lakeside vegetation, rendered in translucent greens that echo sunlit reeds swaying along the water's edge.
Rising from it is The Channel, a faceted vessel inspired by the deeper passages carved through the lake. Rich green depths are interrupted by pale swirling forms that mirror the churned wakes left behind by passing boats, momentary disturbances that fade from the surface but leave their mark on the water below.
