CCC #16 • Experimental Bud Vase (Final accession name pending Curio Club designation)

Not every discovery begins with certainty.

Curio Club Creation #16 was born from a simple question: Can transparency and opacity create depth instead of division?

Three shades of teal were carefully layered into a single pour, with the intention of allowing the colors to naturally feather into one another rather than forming hard lines. Unlike previous atmospheric experiments, no school glue was used. The hope was to create suspended wisps and gradients throughout the unusually thick walls of the vessel, giving the illusion of depth that changes with every angle and every source of light.

Whether the experiment succeeded or failed was unknown until the pressure pot was opened.

Like all Curio Club Creations, this artifact was developed live alongside the Curio Club, whose ideas, observations, and encouragement became part of its history. Every swirl, transition, and unexpected outcome is a permanent record of that shared experiment.
