Not every artifact arrives as expected.

Rose began as an experiment in contrast. Her body was intended to emerge in deep black with a warm golden luminescence, while every rose, flourish, and gilded detail was meticulously hand-painted into the mold before a single drop of resin was poured.

Then chemistry made its own decision.

Instead of black, Rose emerged wearing an unexpected verdigris finish, her surface echoing weathered bronze reclaimed from time itself. The planned golden glow transformed into a rich emerald radiance, creating an effect that was never designed, never anticipated, and cannot be intentionally replicated.

The Curio Club watched her creation live, witnessed the surprise alongside the Curator, and unanimously gave her the only name that felt right:Rose.

Every gilded flourish and every bloom was painted directly into the mold, becoming part of the casting itself rather than being applied afterward. The result is an artifact whose details appear to emerge naturally from within, rewarding closer inspection from every angle.

Rose is a reminder that the most remarkable discoveries are often the ones no one intended to make.

Curator's Note:

Originally expected to emerge in black with a golden glow, Rose instead revealed a naturally weathered verdigris appearance and an emerald luminescence unlike anything previously created in the House of Coe workshop. This unexpected transformation is considered part of the artifact's provenance and contributes to its singular nature.
